Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Data Scientist for Clinical Machine Learning and Flow Cytometry in Memphis. You will lead ML solutions for high-dimensional spectral cytometry to support automated identification of rare cell populations and MRD detection.

You will collaborate with clinical faculty and lab leadership to deploy scalable analytical workflows, validate methods, and publish results. Relocation is offered for non-Memphis residents, with support provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD with substantial post-degree experience in bioinformatics, statistics, or computer science with biology/chemistry
• Substantial experience in at least one programming language and at least one statistical package (R preferred)
• Experience applying ML to biomedical, clinical, or laboratory datasets (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead development, validation, and deployment of ML solutions for high-dimensional flow cytometry data
• Design analytical frameworks for automated identification of cell populations and MRD detection
• Develop pipelines for spectral flow cytometry datasets and scalable laboratory workflows
• Produce data products, reports, and visualizations for clinical implementation and publication
• Document methods, model performance, validation, and QA procedures
• Collaborate with clinicians, scientists, statisticians, and data scientists on translational projects
• Lead interdisciplinary projects and act as project manager when required
