Job summary

The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Washington invites applications for a staff Medical Physicist. Qualifications

• Master's degree in medical physics or related field.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in medical physics.
• Board Certified or Board eligible in therapeutic radiological physics by the American Board of Radiology or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Quality assurance of linear accelerators and imaging/brachytherapy equipment.
• Brachytherapy procedures and plan/chart review.
• Support planning, dosimetry, verification, QA, and staff training.
• Consult with other providers and patients.
• Commissioning, maintenance, and improvement of equipment.
• Provide routine clinical support.

Education

Master's degree in medical physics

Board Certified or Board eligible in therapeutic radiological physics by the American Board of Radiology or equivalent
