Job summary

Adventist Health Fowler is seeking a Medical Assistant to support non-invasive clinical procedures under supervision. Responsibilities include room setup, patient check-in, vital signs, and routine venipuncture.

Minimum education is a high school diploma; BLS is required. Preferred are CMA/RMA credentials, phlebotomy training, and audiometry/vision testing capabilities. Per diem schedule with day shifts. Location: Fowler, CA.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or CHDP certificate within six months of hire is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients.
• Maintains a patient recall system including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.
• Obtains vital signs and reports significant findings to the clinic physician.
• Performs venipunctures as ordered.
• Performs audiometry and vision testing.
