Job summary

Adventist Health Simi Valley is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide non-invasive, routine technical support under supervision of licensed physicians and mid-level practitioners. Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or a CHDP certificate within six months of hire preferred.
• Phlebotomy certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients. Maintains a patient recall system and continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.
• Obtains vital signs. Reports significant findings to the clinic physician.
• Performs venipunctures as ordered.
• Performs audiometry and vision testing.
