Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant course from an accredited/recognized school.
• Medical Assistant board certification/registration (AAMA, NHA, NCCT) or AMT within 90 days of hire.
• EKG use, appointment scheduling, word processing and computer skills.
• Sound organizational skills and accuracy at all levels of job.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be team focused and demonstrate leadership qualities.
• CPR certification as a condition of employment (various certs acceptable).

Aufgaben

• Apply evidence based guidelines from major regulatory and specialty groups for pre-visit prep.
• Collaborate on 'e-huddles' to ensure complete primary care visits using the Planned Care Dashboard.
• Prepare patients for visits using established criteria for visit type.
• Document chief complaint and results from screening tests.
• Accurately perform and document patient vital signs.
• Independently perform CLIA waivered tests, EKG, hearing and vision tests.
• Prioritize daily tasks and coordinate with team to optimize patient flow.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and medical logs.
• Set up and stock exam rooms; clean rooms daily.
• Adhere to infection control standards and CPR/AED requirements.
