Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Medical Assistant to support licensed providers in clinic and surgical settings. You will collect patient information, measure vital signs, and prepare exam rooms while ensuring sterile conditions and safety protocols.

You will assist with injections, dressings, and specimen handling, documenting all activities accurately. The role requires strong communication in English, attention to detail, and the ability to follow physician instructions within HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, anatomy, and medications.
• Detail oriented with professional attitude and reliability.
• Ability to follow instructions with proper grammar and spelling.
• Interpersonal skills to support customer service and teamwork.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed providers in clinic and surgical settings.
• Record medical history, medications, allergies, and test results.
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure sterile field; handle instruments.
• Administer medications per physician directions; document procedures.
• Collect specimens, log results, and prepare for testing.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate tests/admissions.
• Support emergencies per policies and document actions.
• Maintain clean rooms and equipment; dispose of biohazards properly.
