Job summary

Methodist Medical Group seeks a qualified Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses in a fast-paced clinic setting. You will perform routine clinical tasks, take histories and vitals, document care, and assist with injections and medications as directed.

The role requires graduation from an accredited MA program, National/Registered MA certification, and CPR certification; 40-hour workweek, with Monday–Friday shifts at the Oak Lawn site in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• 2+ years of professional medical assisting in a practice setting is preferred.
• Must hold National/Registered Medical Assistant Certification and CPR certification.
• Requires ability to lift patients and work in a high-volume clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient confidentiality and document care accurately.
• Assist physicians and nurses under supervision with patient care.
• Screen telephone triage calls and refer medical decisions to a physician.
• Take patient history and vital signs, and manage documentation.
• Assist with medication handling, injections, and Rx refills as needed.
• Maintain infection control, disinfect instruments, and manage supply inventory.
