Job summary

Carbon Health Technologies Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support providers and the clinical team. You will perform clinical tasks such as EKGs, venipuncture, and injections, and assist with in-office procedures while also handling administrative duties.

You will prepare patients for exams, record vital signs and medical history, and document everything in the EHR. The role requires a weekend schedule, BLS certification, and strong patient communication in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant or clinical support experience.
• Proficiency in EKG, venipuncture, injections, and assisting with procedures.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Willingness to travel to South Bay Clinic locations.
• Ability and willingness to work weekends as part of a full-time schedule.
• Strong English communication skills; professional, compassionate demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical tasks including EKGs, venipuncture, injections and assisting with in-office procedures.
• Prepare patients for exams, take vital signs, document medical history, and update EHRs.
• Assist providers by setting up equipment, preparing supplies and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Document patient encounters and treatments in the medical record promptly.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and infection control standards.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and clinical workflows to protect privacy and safety.
• Educate patients on follow-up care and treatment plans as directed.
• Coordinate patient flow, rooming, wait times, and follow-up scheduling.
