Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• MA course completion certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 2 years Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients in a courteous, professional manner and manages patient flow.
• Obtains patient history, records vitals, and documents in the chart.
• Explains procedures and prepares the exam room for examination.
• Assists provider with procedures and medications; administers injections when ordered.
• Performs CLIA-waived lab tests; collects, labels, and processes specimens.
• Performs basic x-ray setup or assists Radiology where applicable.
• Completes medical charts, records services rendered, and follows up on referrals.
