Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking an outpatient clinical assistant to support a busy care site. Under supervision you will take vital signs, administer injections, collect specimens, and help maintain exam rooms while supporting documentation in the EMR.

Responsibilities include patient triage, safeguarding patient flow, POCT, and assisting RN or provider. EPIC skills are preferred and team collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare is preferred.
• High school diploma required.
• Knowledge of EPIC software may be required.
• Strong communication and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, perform basic clinical duties and document results.
• Triage calls and manage patient flow in exam rooms.
• Administer medications as ordered and collect specimens.
• Perform Point of Care Testing (POCT) and report findings.
• Maintain clean and stocked examination rooms and assist with inventory.
