Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care in Dania Beach, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant 2 to be the first point of contact for patient care, handling both administrative and clinical tasks onsite.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, assisting with vaccines and phlebotomy, documenting in EMR, and collaborating with physicians and APPs. Requires CPR and TB screening; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• MA school/training program or CMA/RMA or 5+ years experience and provider approval.
• CPR certification.
• TB screening required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Discuss symptoms, obtain vitals, administer medications and vaccines, perform phlebotomy, collect specimens and conduct diagnostic tests.
• Sterilize and clean equipment, maintain examination rooms, document in EMR.
• Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Deliver patient care as allowed by current certification.
• Follow area policies and methods for completing assignments with some prioritization freedom.
• Adhere to standard procedures with room for interpretation/deviation.
