Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with certificate or 1-3 years experience as MA/EMT or CNA (with valid certificate).

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with health care team to coordinate and implement patient care plans; may record reason for visit and related patient information for practitioner review.
• Performs vital signs, measurements, and screening procedures; documents findings.
• Collects and assists in specimen collection per protocol; labels and routes specimens.
• Performs daily controls and calibration of laboratory equipment; reports inaccuracies.
• Conducts electrocardiograms and phlebotomy as ordered; follows infection control standards and PPE usage.
• Assists physicians and nurses with procedures and examinations following infection control and universal protocols.
• Maintains clean, stocked exam rooms and completes required logs and checks.
• Participates in pre-visit chart preparation ensuring lab results and documentation are available.
• Performs clerical duties to ensure efficient patient flow through the suite.
• All responsibilities are considered essential under applicable laws.

Education
