Job summary

Responsibilities include taking vitals, assisting with specimens, performing ECGs and phlebotomy, supporting procedures, and maintaining clean exam rooms. The role emphasizes infection control and coordinated teamwork to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification in Medical Assistant training or relevant experience with certificate.
• 1-3 years of MA/EMT/CNA experience with certificate is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with health care team to coordinate patient care and document visits.
• Take vitals, height/weight, and basic screening; document findings in the medical record.
• Collect specimens and assist with lab procedures per standard protocols.
• Perform daily controls and calibration of equipment; report inaccuracies.
• Conduct ECGs and phlebotomy per provider orders; follow infection control standards.
• Assist with procedures (e.g., lumbar puncture, pelvic exam) per protocol and patient prep.
• Maintain clean examination rooms and stock supplies; update logs as required.
• Assist with pre-visit chart preparation and ensure lab results are available.
• Perform clerical tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate recordkeeping.
