Job summary

SBNC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support licensed medical staff in a clinic setting. The role focuses on back-office duties, vitals, patient history, and data entry into the EHR, while maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Prior medical care setting desirable.
Knowledge of: Windows, Word and Excel.
Ability: Speak fluent Spanish as well as English; follow instructions; communicate effectively.
Preferred qualifications: Medical Assistant Certificate.

Responsibilities

Coordinate patient care and flow as part of the care team.
Escort patient to exam room, obtain brief history and vital signs, and enter data into the EHR.
Assist providers with procedures and prepare patients for exams.
Complete patient-specific tasks after the visit under provider direction.
Educate patients on diabetes, asthma and other chronic conditions as directed by providers.
Maintain EHR records and ensure timely completion of tasks.
