Job summary

Community Health Center of Groton seeks a part-time Medical Assistant to provide clinical and technical support to primary care providers. You will perform pre-visit preparation, document vital signs, and assist with CLIA-waived tests and EKGs, contributing to a patient-centered workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Medical Assistant certification/registration within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient EKG use, appointment scheduling, and basic testing procedures.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and technical support for primary care providers.
• Perform pre-visit preparation using evidence-based guidelines and the Planned Care Dashboard.
• Document chief complaints and results from screening tests; record vital signs accurately.
• Independently perform CLIA-waived tests, EKGs, hearing and vision tests.
• Coordinate tests and referrals, schedule as ordered, and maintain patient flow.
• Maintain clean, safe exam rooms and ensure infection control standards.
• Assist team to deliver patient-centered care and serve internal and external customers.
