Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care and clinical support in an outpatient setting. You will take vital signs, document histories, and help manage the EPIC electronic health record to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role requires prior experience in a medical office, completion of an accredited MA program, and onboarding with clinical competencies. On-site work with potential orientation and a retention bonus for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting.
• Graduate of an accredited MA program with hands-on patient care.
• Completion of MA orientation and clinical competency assessment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document patient history.
• Reconcile medications and manage medications requests.
• Facilitate patient flow and schedule appointments.
• Assist with EPIC EMR documentation and orders.
• Process prior authorizations and coordinate tests/procedures.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, injections as competency allows.
• Maintain strong communication and organizational skills; ensure on-site presence.
