Job summary

Parkland Health at Irving Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to be an integral part of the medical home team, providing direct patient care and performing administrative duties under physician supervision. Qualifications

• Must have completed training through an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• No prior experience required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 90 days of hire from a listed certifying organization.

Responsibilities

• Review daily appointment schedule with staff and plan patient care activities.
• Assist with office procedures, collect specimens, and prepare patients for visit.
• Maintain infection control standards and clean exam rooms.
• May administer unit-dose medications under physician delegation after competencies.
