Job summary

Luminis Health in Annapolis, MD is seeking Medical Assistants to perform a mix of administrative and clinical tasks to support patients and providers while keeping office operations running smoothly.

Key duties include patient registration and scheduling, inventory management, basic clinical procedures (injections, EKGs, phlebotomy), data entry in the EHR, triage, and assisting with examinations to ensure efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year clerical/billing experience in a medical office setting.
• Current CPR certification (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Register and schedule patients; print daily provider schedule.
• Maintain stock of medical and office supplies in office and exam rooms.
• Process clinical supply orders per practice standards.
• Perform injections, EKGs, spirometry, phlebotomy and related therapeutic tasks as directed.
• Determine patient eligibility and need for referrals/preauthorizations.
• Answer calls, greet patients, and maintain professional telephone etiquette.
