Job summary

CaroMont Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II to operate within the credentialed scope of practice. Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment for exams, maintaining the clinical area, collecting lab specimens, and scheduling referrals.

The role supports the care team with office and clinical duties to keep the practice running efficiently and deliver excellent patient care. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and relevant MA experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• Successfully complete approved Medical Group competency assessment within 8 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for exams/procedures.
• Maintains exam rooms and clinical area.
• Collects and prepares lab specimens/lab requisitions accurately.
• Schedules and obtains authorizations for referrals and/or procedures.
• Provides front office support and customer service both in-person and over the phone.
