Qualifications

• 0–2 years of similar medical office experience preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current Medical Assistant certification/registration; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam by obtaining and documenting vital signs, chief complaint, and preparing the patient for provider exam.
• Performs phlebotomy and obtains specimens; administers vaccines; completes required documentation; performs diagnostic tests (EKG, pulmonary function) under physician supervision.
• Screens and directs patient calls per established protocol; informs patients about prescriptions and testing results under supervision.
• Performs daily regulatory testing and documents to ensure clinical equipment is accurate and compliant.
• Maintains par level of clinical supplies for the facility.
• Performs front desk duties such as registering patients, billing, and appointment scheduling.
