HCA HealthONE Colorado Orthopedic Specialists in Colorado Springs is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to deliver high-quality patient care and clinical support. This full-time, day-shift role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays, and a collaborative team environment.

The role includes scheduling, patient check-in/out, vital signs, injections, specimen collection where needed, and assistance to physicians during minor procedures.

Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience.
• Certification as Medical Assistant is required (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NCRMA or ABR-OE accepted).
• Recent grads must obtain certification within 60 days of employment; incumbents without certification must obtain within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and cancel patient appointments.
• Check-in and check-out patients.
• Enter charges and payments.
• Answer the telephone.
• Verify patient insurance and demographics.
• Collect co-pays/coinsurance and balances.
• Assist nursing staff with duties.
• May collect patient specimens.
• Take patient histories and vital signs.
