Job Summary:
A certified healthcare provider employed by Erlanger Health is responsible for direct and/or indirect care of patients under the supervision of an RN, LPN, physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant. The medical assistant supports healthcare delivery within their scope of practice in the ambulatory areas of Erlanger.
This position employs a team-based approach to care, with team members trained to meet the highest functional standards per State guidelines. They are responsible for managing the practice's patient population and participating in quality improvement and performance evaluation processes.
Education:
Required: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience:
Required: Completion of an accredited program or military equivalent training, or at least one year of recent clinical medical assistant experience
Preferred: Previous MA experience, Phlebotomy skills
Position Requirements: License/Certification/Registration
Required: BLS certification completed prior to assignment and maintained thereafter
