Upham's Community Care in Boston, MA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support nursing and providers in a busy primary care setting. The role includes direct patient care, triage, clerical duties and care coordination under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

You will perform vitals, basic tests, EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection, while ensuring excellent patient flow and confidentiality.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Massachusetts certification as Medical Assistant or obtain within 3–6 months.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or other Creole desirable.
• CPR certification required.

Aufgaben

• Welcome and escort patients from waiting room to examination rooms and coordinate patient flow.
• Take and record vital signs and other measurements appropriate to age and visit.
• Perform point-of-care testing such as throat cultures, rapid strep, urine dips, pregnancy tests, and finger-sticks.
• Administer EKGs and immunizations; assist with exam procedures as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate documentation in EMR.
