Job summary

UF Health Gainesville seeks a Medical Assistant to provide patient care in a physician's office under the direct responsibility of a licensed physician.

The role may include clerical, insurance and medical record duties, and occasional float to other UF Health facilities to meet staffing needs. Candidates should be a graduate of an accredited MA program with current MA certification and CPR/BLS up to date.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MA program and current MA certification/registration.
• One year direct patient care experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask and take initiative.
• Must be a team player and able to collaborate within a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a physician's office under physician supervision.
• May perform clerical, insurance and medical record functions.
• May float to other UFHP practices as needed for staffing.
