This large and growing division of MaineHealth consists of multiple surgical sub-specialties across three locations. In Portland, our Care Team specializes in Pediatric Surgery, General Surgery, Acute Care Surgery, Surgical Oncology, and Endocrine Surgery. This location features diagnostic ultrasound and an ambulatory procedure room. In Scarborough, our Care Team specializes in Colorectal Surgery and Minimally Invasive Surgery. In Biddeford, we care for patients with Breast and General Surgery needs. This dynamic group includes 35 Surgeons, 19 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), 16 Registered Nurses (RNs), and 8 Medical Assistants (MAs).
This role supports Clinical Operations and Supervisors across Portland and Scarborough, as well as ensuring compliance and clinical competency levels in Biddeford, Portland, and Scarborough. The Clinical Manager's home office is in Portland, with responsibilities split across all three locations. The position primarily involves in-office leadership with a day-shift schedule, with hours varying based on the needs of the Care Teams.
The Manager - Clinical Ambulatory Care oversees all operational aspects of the clinical department, including clinical services and staffing. The role involves coordinating clinical workflows to provide efficient, effective, safe, and comprehensive patient care. The Clinical Manager collaborates with physicians, midlevel providers, and clinical staff to increase outpatient service volume, streamline referral processes, improve patient flow, and maximize productivity across practice locations.
