Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a Master's in social work or related field, LICSW/LMHC/LMFT licensure, and at least one year of supervisory experience.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

The Clinical Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of the WISe program including planning and managing the programs activities. In coordination with the Clinical Director, you will assist in developing and enhancing the services provided by the WISe program. You will be responsible for measuring and monitoring program success, reporting on program outcomes, and engaged in developing the programs budget and operation plans and needs. The ideal candidate will be a decisive decision maker and a clear communicator with the ability to keep employees on task. As part of the Lutheran Community Services Northwest counseling teams, this position will oversee clinical management and coordinate outreach to the community, direct assistance in gaining access to services, coordination of care, and linkage to appropriate services. You will directly manage Program Supervisors and be responsible for staff training. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience in program management and/or team management.

  • Manage and monitor the implementation of the Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe) in accordance with the most recent version of the WISe Program, Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Help develop and update forms and policies and procedures in compliance with Council on Accreditation (COA), Washington State Administrative Code (WAC), contract stipulations and Federal Regulations in consultation with the Clinical Director.
  • Help orient new staff and interns and monitor adherence to clinical practice standards. Oversee the casework and professional issues of employees to include, review and assess client progress notes, mental health assessments and review clinical records to evaluate the necessary level of patient care.
  • Provide oversight to program supervisors in collaboration with management staff to ensure that all staff are given appropriate training, coaching, and supervision for their roles.
  • Develop and maintain effective administrative systems and program management tools; supporting and integrating the support staff.
  • Under the general direction of the Clinical Director, WISe Clinical Manager will provide supervision and feedback to the WISe team
  • Provide coverage for supervisors as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining a 24-hour on-call schedule and provide support to on-call staff supervisors.
  • Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity in the delivery of client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations served.
  • Participate in the quality improvement process - including collecting outcomes, assigning case record reviews, reviewing case records, and distributing/collecting client satisfaction surveys. Report data to the local quality improvement representative on a quarterly basis.
  • Assist with solving problems and implement interventions among employees. Report to Director all difficulties and problems that arise while providing direct services to LCSNW clients and the mental health team.
  • Ensure that mental health team maintain adequate and organized client files with all required paperwork.
  • Ensure that the clinical program follows legal and ethical guidelines of appropriate professional association. To include tracking documentation and record-keeping for organizational and administrative purposes.
  • Conduct and participate in regular clinical staff meetings.
  • Model and encourage direct, professional communication among staff members and facilitate development of a positive staff support network.
  • Maintain a high level of ethical conduct regarding confidentiality, dual roles/relationships, and professional stature
  • Follow ethical guidelines of appropriate professional association
  • Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity in the delivery of client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations served
  • Attend and participate in clinical staff meetings
  • Attend supervision, consultation, and staff meetings regularly
  • Assume other tasks as requested by supervisor
  • This position is responsible to provide supervision to clinical staff.
HOW YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT:

This position involves interactions with staff members, clients, and other outside contacts. Individuals must be able to meet personally with clients. Communication is highly sensitive and confidential in nature. Periodic telephone contact is required to maintain client relationships. Such communications are as complex as the systems within which they occur and require a great deal of discretion, tact, political, and professional awareness. This will always require courtesy and confidentiality.

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or other social and health services professions
  • One-year supervisory experience and two years of experience in counseling, case management and/or community-based treatment.
  • Board licensure in counseling or social work (LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT) required.
  • Cross-cultural knowledge and competent to work in a multi-cultural setting
  • Must have good communication and organizational skills
  • Must have mature work habits and be able to work without supervision and set priorities
  • Must have good teamwork skills
  • Requires strict adherence of HIPAA standards in the office workspace to ensure confidentiality
