Job summary

Lutheran Community Services NW in the Pacific Northwest is seeking a qualified clinician to support the Multicultural Counseling team. The role involves overseeing clinical management, direct assistance to clients in gaining access to services, coordination of care, and referral to appropriate resources.

You will supervise staff, ensure quality assurance, manage referrals, screenings, assessments, and treatment planning, and provide clinical coverage as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Art Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
  • Licenses: LPCA, QMHP, LPC, LCSW, CSWA.
  • Willingness to travel between worksites and work in diverse settings.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical management and direct assistance in gaining access to services, coordination of care, and linkage to appropriate services.
  • Provide supervision and quality assurance to clinical staff and manage referrals, screening, assessment and treatment planning.
  • Provide clinical coverage as needed.

All LCSNW team members will contribute to our mission of partnering with individuals, families and communities for health,justiceand hope. As part of the Multicultural Counseling team, this position will oversee clinical management and directassistance in gaining access to services, coordination of care, and linkage to appropriate services. Also responsible for providing supervision and quality assurance to clinical staff as well as management of referrals, screening,assessmentand treatment planning as well as clinical coverage as needed.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Provide culturallyappropriate, trauma-informed counseling to individuals, families, and groups
  • Maintainactive case load including case notes and records in alignment with the agency’s documentation standards
  • Conduct mental health screenings and assessments to determinetreatment needsand referrals to medication management or other adjunctive services (e.g.support group, peer support, case management)
  • Apply evidenced-based practices in treatment
  • Collaborate with consumer supports, including family members, partner agencies, and others as indicatedon an ongoing basis
  • Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity in the delivery of client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations served
  • Model and encourage direct, professional communication among staff members, and facilitatedevelopment of a positive staff support network
HOW YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT:
  • Fluency in English and Ukrainian
  • Master’s degree granted by an accredited institution in Counseling, Art Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field.
  • LPCA or QMHP, LPC, LCSW, CSWA
  • Thrives in a diverse and multicultural environment
  • Exceptional commitment to serving and advocating for diverse and marginalized populations
  • Travels between worksites occasionally
  • Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings, client home/community settings, outdoor settings in varying weather conditions, and faith-based settings such as churches
  • Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job-relevant clearances as required by the State or program

Clearances: Standard LCSNW criminal clearance,including national sex offender, ORCHARDS, SAM/OIGrequired.
