Job summary

Northbridge University is seeking a Medical Assistant Technician Adjunct Instructor to prepare students for entry-level medical assistant roles. The MAT program blends classroom instruction with supervised clinical practice, including EKG and phlebotomy training, and capstone experiences.

Qualifications

• An associate degree or higher is required.
• Current Florida Certified Medical Assistant (BMO) is preferred.
• Current valid Medical Assistant Certification: RMA, CMA, or NCMA Required.
• Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience at the college level; preferably in the proprietary school setting; and a minimum of 3 years of work experience in field.
• Exceptional computer skills using Microsoft Office applications, Adobe and familiar with information systems; able to deliver the course using diverse resources; strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• T eaches a full time load (quarter credit is two courses per term; semester see faculty handbook)
• Develop and deliver engaging course content, including lectures, assignments, and assessments, as outlined in the course syllabus.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and grading.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Comply with institutional policies and accreditation standards regarding faculty qualifications and instructional quality.
• Complete a minimum of 8 hours of annual professional development training related to teaching or subject matter expertise.
• Contribute to program improvement by collaborating with academic leadership and peers to enhance curriculum and instructional strategies.
