Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking a Clinical Liaison for Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center. This per diem role focuses on educating the community about acute rehabilitation, building referral relationships, and increasing census through in-person engagements.

The position requires a clinical degree and active licensure, valid driver's license, and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, discharge planners, and social workers.

Qualifications

• Clinical degree and current license to practice as OT/PT/SLP/RN.
• Previous clinical liaison/marketing/sales experience preferred.
• Current license in accordance with state licensure act.
• Other professional licensure considered based on experience and training.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Experience working with physicians, nursing management, discharge planners, case managers, and social workers.
• Clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate the community on acute rehabilitation to develop census through face-to-face contacts.
• Develop business based on rehabilitation program goals.
• Engage with referral sources within the territory to increase census.
• Identify barriers to admission and propose solutions with program director.
• Require onsite and in-territory work with patients, families, and referrals.
• Deliver in-services and presentations to educate on acute rehabilitation programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center is a 25-bed acute rehabilitation unit dedicated to helping patients who are recovering from various injuries or illnesses. In partnership with Lifepoint Rehabilitation, this facility provides 24 hours of nursing care and intensive inpatient therapy to provide an outstanding experience and quality outcomes for all of the patients we serve.

How You'll Contribute

A Clinical Liaison who excels in this role:

• Educate the community on acute rehabilitation to develop a census through face-to-face contacts.
• Develop business based on the strategic goals of the rehabilitation program.
• Face-to-face connections within the territory to build relationships with referral sources to increase census.
• Identifies barriers to the admission process and creates solutions with the assistance of the program director.
• Requires onsite and in-territory work through face-to-face contact with patients, families, and referral sources.
• Completes in-person in-services and presentations to educate on acute rehabilitation programs and services.
• Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Clinical degree and current license to practice as an OT, PT, SLP, RN
• Previous clinical liaison/marketing/sales experience preferred
• Applicable and current license to practice in accordance with the state licensure act
• Other professional licensure considered based on experience and training as outlined in the state licensure act
• Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation required
• A track record of successful experience in a health care setting, strong interpersonal skills, and experience working with physicians, nursing management, discharge planners, case managers, and social workers
• Clinical experience is preferred
• Approximate time of external liaisons to be in the market territory: 80%

Pay rate:

$40-45 per hour
