Job summary

Lifepoint Health is opening Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Denton, a new 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility. We seek a Clinical Liaison to educate the community about acute rehabilitation, develop referrals, and build relationships with providers in the Denton territory.

The role requires a 2-year degree (bachelor’s preferred), nursing/therapy license eligibility, and a valid driver’s license. Travel within the territory and onsite duties are essential. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum a 2-year degree; a four-year degree in a health-related, business or marketing field is preferred.
• Previous clinical liaison, marketing or sales experience is preferred.
• Licensed to practice Nursing, Therapy or Respiratory Therapy per state licensure act.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Proven ability to work with physicians, discharge planners, case managers and social workers.
• Clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate the community on acute rehabilitation to develop census through in-person contacts.
• Develop business aligned with rehabilitation program goals.
• Build relationships with referral sources through face-to-face outreach in the territory.
• Identify barriers to admission and coordinate solutions with program leadership.
• Perform onsite and in-territory engagement with patients, families and providers.
• Conduct in-person trainings and presentations about acute rehabilitation services.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.

How You'll Contribute

A Clinical Liaison who excels in this role:

• Educate the community on acute rehabilitation to develop a census through face-to-face contacts.
• Develop business based on the strategic goals of the rehabilitation program.
• Face-to-face connections within the territory to build relationships with referral sources to increase census.
• Identifies barriers to the admission process and creates solutions with the assistance of the program director.
• Requires onsite and in-territory work through face-to-face contact with patients, families, and referral sources.
• Completes in-person in-services and presentations to educate on acute rehabilitation programs and services.
• Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For...

• At a minimum, should hold a 2-year degree. A graduate holding a four-year degree from a college program with a bachelor's degree in a health related, business or marketing area of concentration, nursing preferred.
• Previous clinical liaison/marketing/sales experience preferred
• Applicable and current license to practice Nursing, Therapy or Respiratory Therapy in accordance with the state licensure act
• Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation required
• A track record of successful experience in a health care setting, strong interpersonal skills, and experience working with physicians, nursing management, discharge planners, case managers, and social workers
• Clinical experience is preferred
• Approximate time of external liaisons to be in the market territory: 80%
