Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Miami is seeking a Clinical Liaison (RN preferred) for a full-time Tuesday–Saturday 8 AM–5 PM schedule. The base salary ranges from $74,000 to $95,000 per year, and a generous monthly bonus plan accompanies the role.

You’ll advocate for referred patients in pre-admission, coordinate care plans with physicians and families, and help with transfers from ICU or post-surgical stays, working with discharge planners and care teams to remove barriers to specialized post-ICU

Qualifications

• RN license or equivalent (RT, LPN, PT, OT considered).
• Ability to perform clinical assessments of medically complex patients.

Responsibilities

Full-Time Tuesday - Saturday schedule (must work every Saturday as part of full-time schedule)

Base salary of $74,000 to $95,000 per year, based on relevant years of experience.

Generous monthly bonus plan.

A day in the life

You’ll advocate for referred patients in the pre-admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs. You will serve as a resource for healthcare professionals through fostering relationships within medical facilities. With clinical expertise and problem-solving skills, you’ll also coordinate care plans with physicians and families. Additionally, you will facilitate patient transfers and address barriers to accessing specialized post-ICU care.

Key Responsibilities

• You will work with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post-surgical stay by utilizing your strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem-solving skills.
• Perform clinical assessments of referred patients, then counsel with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one.
• Partner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process through removing payer-related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care.

Required Skills

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) License. Will consider other designations like LPN, PT, OT, etc., upon further review.
• Ability to complete clinical assessments of medically complex patients.

Preferred skills that will make you a successful Clinical Liaison:

• Demonstrated success in patient advocacy.
• Superior communication and relationship-building skills.
• Prior healthcare marketing or business development experience is preferred, but extensive training is provided on this piece.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
