Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking an Admissions Liaison for inpatient acute rehabilitation in El Paso, TX. The role conducts comprehensive pre-admission assessments, coordinates patient information, and presents findings to the Medical Director for timely review.

The incumbent actively supports patient attraction efforts by promoting rehab program features to patients, families, and the community, while ensuring smooth referral workflows and rapid communication with referral sources at every stage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher as required by licensure.
• 2 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation.
• Licensed PT, RN, OT or SLP; AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and carry out pre-admission screenings for rehab program referrals to determine if patient is an appropriate candidate for inpatient rehab.
• Develop, implement, and adhere to best practice patient attraction strategies to promote the rehab program to patients, families, and the community.

The Admissions Liaison is responsible for conducting a comprehensive assessment of patients referred for inpatient acute rehabilitation services, coordinating the gathering of patient information to present in a timely manner to the Medical Director for review, and communicating quickly and effectively with all referral sources at every stage of the referral process.

The main job duties include responding to and carrying out pre-admission screenings for patients referred to the rehab program that result in a timely decision as to whether or not the patient is an appropriate candidate for the inpatient rehab program. Secondarily the job duties include developing, implementing, and adhering to best practice patient attraction strategies as a means to promote the features and benefits of the rehab program to patients, families. and the community. The amount of time spent performing on the secondary task will vary based on volume of activity of referrals the program receives.

• Required: Bachelor's degree, or greater, as required by licensure
• Required: 2 years of clinical experience, to include direct patient in a rehabilitation setting
• Required: Licensed PT, RN, OT or SLP. AHA BLS.
