Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a dedicated RN to serve as Charge Nurse on our unit, coordinating patient care, staffing, and throughput. You will lead a care team, participate in rounds, and ensure timely discharge planning while maintaining high standards of clinical practice.

Responsibilities include supervising staff during shifts, guiding patient flows, and acting as a liaison among patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN license with the Georgia State Board of Nursing.
• Must complete mandatory annual training and unit competencies.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience: 6 months as Clinical Nurse; 2 years preferred with 6 months as Charge Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to the health care team with emphasis on patient care coordination and throughput.
• Serves as charge nurse and operational leader for patient flow when not in administrative role.
• Ensures patient and caregiver are aware of the care plan and discharge timing; collaborates with interdisciplinary team.
• Participates in daily rounds and discharge planning to support safe transitions of care.
