Emory Healthcare in Atlanta seeks an experienced Charge Nurse to plan, coordinate, and direct daily operations on a clinical shift. You will supervise staff, facilitate communication with physicians and administrators, and act as a change agent to strengthen systems aligned with the department’s mission and values.

The role requires expert nursing leadership, mentorship of colleagues, and rigorous adherence to policies.

Formación

• BSN from an accredited program.
• 1 year of nursing experience post-graduation.
• Current RN license in Georgia.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required for certain departments; multi-state eNLC license within 60 days.

Responsabilidades

• Mentor other Registered Nurses to the role and functions of Charge Nurse.
• Leads and coordinates team behavior between staff members and actively fosters the development of leadership skills in others.
• Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff concerning policies, scheduling, assignments, organizational skills and daily operations.
• Completes performance reviews with Nurse Manager input as appropriate.
• Incorporates Synergy model for care in nurse/patient assignments.
• Evaluates the use of resources and cost containment activities.
• Coordinates unit staffing to meet the needs of the department.
• Supports administrative decisions and facilitates daily operational issues with the staff.
• Ensures compliance with educational requirements through scheduling, planning, and support.
