Job summary

The Advanced Practice Professional (APP) will advance the Heart and Vascular Institute's surgical specialty services at Wheeling Hospital. The role coordinates clinical education, skill advancement, and APP scope of practice under the supervision of the HVI leadership.

Qualified Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants will provide healthcare services in line with state law and hospital privileges, with minimum three years of cardiac surgical experience and certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner: CCNE accredited nursing program with master’s degree in Nursing.
• Nurse Practitioner: National Certification by APRN cert centers.
• Nurse Practitioner: Licensure or eligibility for licensure as RN and APRN in West Virginia.
• Nurse Practitioner: AHA BLS certification with ALS training per department.
