Position Summary
The Clinical Lead is responsible for triage patients before they see the physician, obtaining vital signs, phlebotomy, EKG, immunizations/injections, assisting physicians with procedures, assisting patients with care, and accurate documentation in electronic health records. Administrative duties include patient check-in/check-out, collecting payments, preparing next-day patient charts, answering phones, and leading the clinical team.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Triage patients during point of care.
- Duties include phlebotomy and collection of lab specimens for testing.
- Prepare accurate reports concerning the results of laboratory tests and quality control.
- Process patient specimens appropriately to ensure accurate results.
- Take vital signs, EKG, and perform injections.
- Lead the clinical team.
- Fully document patient information into NextGen.
Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of current Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access). Office 2007 or newer required.
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques for routine tests with attention to proper procedure, precision, and accuracy.
- Knowledge of appropriate medical terminology.
- Skill in specimen collection.
- Ability to work scheduled hours as defined in the job offer.
- Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions and follow written protocols.
- Ability to work independently.
Education, Training, and Requirements
- Medical Assisting Diploma.
- Current CPR or BLS certificate.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
Physical Demands

- Ability to climb or balance for limited periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 30 lbs.
