Job summary

Aftermath invites an Illinois-licensed clinical leader to help build the clinical foundation for new O’Fallon, IL services. This independent contractor role focuses on licensure readiness, with potential to move into a permanent Clinical Director post-launch.

The consultant supports policy, workflow, staffing, and ASAM-aligned clinical delivery during pre-opening. The engagement is primarily remote, with on-site availability as needed, and offers a path to a full-time clinical leadership

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and Illinois license required.
• At least five years of behavioral health clinical experience.
• At least two years in supervision, program management, or department leadership.
• Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment.
• Experience applying ASAM Criteria to placement or service delivery.
• Strong clinical documentation, treatment planning, and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently within a consulting engagement.
• Availability for occasional on-site activities in O’Fallon (IL).

Responsibilities

• Advise leadership on clinical implementation of Illinois Part 2060 requirements.
• Evaluate whether proposed clinical systems support safe and compliant service delivery.
• Review policies, procedures, and workflows from a clinical perspective.
• Help ensure planned outpatient, IOP, and PHP reflect ASAM principles.
• Review processes for assessment, placement, treatment planning, decisions, transition, and discharge.
• Provide input on staffing qualifications, reporting relationships, and supervision coverage.
• Identify readiness gaps to resolve before opening.
• Participate in licensing, readiness, or regulatory discussions.
• Assist leadership in questions about clinical operations in practice.
• Guide the transition from licensing prep to operational launch.
