Job summary

Aftermath is preparing to launch adult substance use disorder services in O'Fallon, Illinois, building Outpatient, IOP, and PHP programs. We seek an Illinois-licensed clinical leader to guide licensure readiness and develop a compliant clinical framework during pre-opening.

This 1099 consulting engagement is primarily remote with on-site availability; monthly retainer is $1,500–$2,500 and may transition to a permanent Clinical Director role after launch.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related behavioral health discipline.
• Active and unrestricted Illinois LCSW or LCPC license in good standing.
• At least five years of behavioral health clinical experience.
• At least two years of clinical supervision or leadership experience.
• Direct knowledge of substance use disorder treatment.
• Experience applying ASAM Criteria to placement or service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Advise leadership on clinical implementation of Illinois Part 2060 requirements.
• Evaluate whether clinical systems support safe, compliant service delivery.
• Review policies and workflows from a clinical perspective.
• Ensure planned programming reflects ASAM principles for licensure readiness.
• Assess assessment, placement, treatment planning, and discharge processes.
• Provide input on staffing qualifications and supervision coverage.
• Identify clinical-readiness gaps to resolve before opening.
