Job summary

UF Health is seeking a qualified MLS technologist to join our clinical laboratory team. The role requires operating complex analyzers and providing accurate data for patient diagnosis and treatment.

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science or related field and Florida Technologist License, with at least 1 year of hospital lab experience or NAACLS-approved program experience.

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor’s degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biology, or related field.
• Must hold Florida Technologist License in appropriate area(s).
• 1 year experience in MLS NAACLS approved program OR 1 year working as a Technologist in a hospital laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory procedures and operate analyzers to provide diagnostic data.
• Make independent judgments in reporting normal and abnormal results.
• Perform quality control and evaluate new techniques/equipment.
• Instruct students and staff; interact with nursing and health care practitioners.
