Job summary

UF Health in Florida seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform a wide range of laboratory procedures using advanced analyzers, providing critical data for diagnosis and treatment. Required: Bachelor's degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science or related field, Florida Technologist License, and 1 year MLS experience or equivalent; ASCP/ MT certifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biology, or related field.
• Florida Technologist License in appropriate area(s).
• ASCP/ MT or MLS (ASCP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of medical laboratory procedures requiring technical knowledge and skill.
• Operate complicated laboratory analyzers to provide data for diagnosis and treatment.
• Make independent judgments in reporting normal and abnormal results.
• Perform and analyze quality control data.
• Instruct students and employees and interact with nursing staff.
