UF Health North in Jacksonville seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist for Part-Time (20 hours weekly) to perform a wide range of lab procedures, operate analyzers, and report results with independent judgment.

The role includes quality control, evaluating new techniques, training staff, and collaborating with nursing and physicians. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Clinical/Medical Lab Science and Florida Technologist License; ASCP certification preferred.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Florida Technologist License in appropriate area(s) required; ASCP preferred.
• 1 year MLS NAACLS approved program or hospital technologist experience.
• Ability to pass color vision test and perform procedures with judgment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail oriented.

Mansioni

• Receive, label, and prioritize specimens; ensure proper handling per policy.
• Perform moderate to high complexity tests in multiple lab areas.
• Conduct quality control and analyze data; maintain reagents and procedures.
• Operate complex analyzers; document checks and repairs.
• Report results with independent judgment; train staff and students.
• Evaluate new instruments/techniques; participate in procedure development.
• Assist with workload distribution and support staff as needed.
