Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field.
• Eligible for ASCP certification; preferred ASCP or AMT certifications.
• Training in a NAACLS-accredited Medical Lab Science program or military medical lab training.
• Experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology, or Urinalysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing and analyzing laboratory tests and procedures.
• Maintaining and standardizing laboratory instruments.
• Researching and developing new testing methods.
• Adhering to safety, hospital, and departmental policies.
• Utilizing computer systems for daily operations.
• Training and orienting new staff and students.
• Contributing to team efforts, quality improvement, and productivity.
