Job summary

Prisma Health’s Blount Memorial Hospital Laboratory seeks a skilled technologist to conduct and report diagnostic tests with precision. You will follow SOPs, maintain specimen integrity, and support QC/QM across daily operations.

The role requires 2 years of clinical lab experience, a Medical Laboratory Technology degree (or equivalent), and relevant certifications, with a focus on accuracy and safety in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology; Bachelor’s degree in related field optional.
• Experience: Two years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Certifications: MT (ASCP) or MLS (ASCP) or MLT (ASCP) or MLT (AMT) required; others acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Performs and reports tests for waived, moderate, and high complexity procedures as SOPs require.
• Operates laboratory instrumentation and maintains quality control.
• Verifies patient and specimen identification and proper labeling.
• Coordinates daily operations and supports lab safety and policies.
