About the Role: At Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, laboratory professionals play a vital role in every patient's care journey. The starting annual salary for this position is $59,049 and this will include an additional geographic differential of $2.20/hr and an additional assignment differential of $4.00/hr. You will also have a full comprehensive benefits package.

What You'll Do:

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests using both automated and manual testing methods.
• Analyze and interpret test results that support the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
• Process and evaluate blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, and other specimen types.
• Conduct quality control testing to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
• Support specialized testing areas, including cytology and bone marrow specimen processing.
• Provide bedside support during procedures involving the collection of cytology or bone marrow specimens.
• Perform limited blood banking responsibilities with advanced training, as assigned.
• Ensure laboratory testing is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established standards.
• Assist with the implementation and validation of new laboratory procedures and processes.
• Review the work of less experienced team members and help maintain high-quality laboratory practices.
• Participate in training and onboarding activities for students and new employees.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records required for laboratory operations and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to solve problems, improve workflows, and support exceptional patient care.

Required Education and Experience License Requirement

1. License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or.
2. Eligibility for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technician in the State of New York
