As a Clinical Laboratory Technician II, you'll use your scientific expertise, technical skills, and attention to detail to generate accurate test results that help physicians diagnose disease, guide treatment decisions, and improve patient outcomes.This is more than a laboratory role. You'll be a trusted member of a collaborative healthcare team, contributing to world-class cancer care while also helping train and support the next generation of laboratory professionals. If you are passionate about science, committed to quality, and motivated by meaningful work, you'll find purpose and growth in this role.The starting annual salary for this position is $59,049 and this will include an additional geographic differential of $2.20/hr and an additional assignment differential of $4.00/hr. License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or.2. Eligibility for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technician in the State of New York.Education and ExperienceAssociate's degree in Medical Technology or related health care discipline and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technician.NOTES:1. License to practice as a Certified Histological Technician in the State of New York may be accepted in lieu of the licensure requirement found in “1” above for positions assigned to the Histology Service; or2. Eligibility for licensure as a Certified Histological Technician in the State of New York may be accepted in lieu of the licensure eligibility requirement found in “2” above for those positions assigned to the Histology Service.3. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain the required licensure within six (6) months of their appointment to this title.4. Possession of the Clinical Laboratory Technician licensure supersedes educational requirements listed above, as stated in section 58-1.5 (e) of the NYS Codes, Rules and Regulations.5. Possession of the Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure supersedes educational requirements listed above, as stated in section 58-1.5 (b) of the NYS Codes, Rules and Regulations.6.
