Job summary

Qualifications
- Requires Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP BOC) or obtain within first year.
- Experience with routine and specialized laboratory testing, quality control, and instrument maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Performs sample assessment, accessioning, processing, and routine testing to support patient results.
- Prepares specimens for testing and ensures correct labeling and order evaluation.
- Maintains electronic lab records, reviews pending worklists, and ensures QC is documented.
- Notifies critical results per policy and troubleshoots instrument issues promptly.
- Participates in training, education activities, and provides orientation support.
