Job summary

MusC Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to support high quality laboratory testing in our clinical laboratory. You will prepare specimens, run routine tests, perform quality control, troubleshoot instruments, and communicate results to medical staff.

The role includes assisting with training of laboratory personnel, participating in continuing education, and upholding Standards of Behavior in daily work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related medical/scientific discipline, 0–1 year experience.
• Certification by ASCP BOC required; registry eligible if not certified and must obtain within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens for testing and perform routine laboratory tests.
• Perform quality control and instrument maintenance; troubleshoot data problems.
• Communicate technical information to medical and lay persons; assist training of staff.
