Position Summary:The Clinical Laboratory Technician performs laboratory tests and procedures that support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory data, adhering strictly to standardized protocols and quality standards.⸻Duties and Responsibilities:Performs and records results of routine tests on various areas of the Clinical Laboratory, adhering strictly to procedures in the laboratory manual, to provide data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.Performs laboratory tests to determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of solid and liquids for such purposes as quality control, process control, and diagnosis performing the following duties.Sets up, adjusts and operates laboratory equipment and instruments such as microscopes, centrifuge, agitators, viscosimeter, chemical balance scales, spectrophotometer, gas chromatograph, colorimeter, and other equipment.Tests samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications.Records test results on standardized forms and writes test reports describing procedures used.Cleans and sterilizes laboratory equipment. Calibrates laboratory instruments.⸻Qualifications:• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field.• Certification by ASCP, AMT, or equivalent preferred.• 1–2 years of experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory setting preferred.• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety protocols.• Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.⸻Working Conditions:• Standard clinical laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological hazards and chemicals.• May involve standing for extended periods and lifting of lab equipment or supplies.• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.⸻Compensation & Benefits:• Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.• Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.• Paid time off, 401 K matching up to 3%, and half days on Friday.
