Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires MLS/MT/MLS certification preferred (ASCP or NCLS)
• Bachelor degree in Medical Technology or MLS required; alternative science degree with relevant lab experience considered
• US work authorization required; visa sponsorship not available

Responsibilities

• Record and/or enter laboratory results into the LIS and advise supervisor of unusual results before reporting
• Report stat results promptly and follow established policies and procedures
• Compare current results with prior patient results to identify notable fluctuations
• Perform quality control, maintain equipment, and calibrate laboratory instruments
• Notify appropriate personnel of specimen or equipment issues per department policy
• Prepare standards, reagents, and testing materials
• Communicate results and clarifications to nursing units or client offices
