Job summary

Qualifications

• California CLS license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex medical laboratory tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
• Prepare and analyze samples, such as blood, urine, and tissue, for testing.
• Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment, such as microscopes and cell counters.
• Implement, evaluate, and improve laboratory procedures and techniques for optimum patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of tests performed, interpret and analyze results.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to discuss test results and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Adhere to safety and infection control procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current with the latest advancements in medical technology.
